What is bubble football?

So what is bubble football (also known as zorb football)? Really, the clue is in the name. Take “the beautiful game” (football) and add some giant inflatable bubbles and you’ve pretty much got bubble football. The bubbles aren’t just floating around the pitch though. The players are inside them. People playing football in bubbles? Yes, you read right. Will this improve your footballing ability? Probably, no, definitely not. Don’t worry though you’ll all be just as disadvantaged and look just as inelegant, as you bounce around the pitch trying to play football.

Competitive Fun!

The beautiful game? I’m not so sure anymore. What this game loses in beauty however, it gains in fun. That’s not to say you can’t pull off some killer moves. Bubble football can get pretty competitive. We’ve seen many sweaty, red-faced bubbles out there! If you’re more into just bouncing around, there’s no need to worry either, that will definitely happen. Oh and bumping into people is actually allowed in bubble football so there’s no need to worry about what the ref has to say about it!

Bubble Trouble

The bubble itself covers you from above your head to your knees. You’ll be completely safe, literally bubble-wrapped. Having said that, this great defence is also your biggest weakness. You’ll regularly find yourself bounced off your feet. It’s not easy to sneak past the opposition in a giant bubble! Of course, this is the secret to bubble football being so great. What’s funnier than seeing your friends falling, bouncing and rolling around? Not a lot!
